This simple but visually striking website was developed for Stuart Howard Architects in Vancouver, BC, with a focus on showcasing their exceptional architectural work. The client came to me with a vision for a site that allows their stunning projects to take center stage, creating an immersive experience for visitors.

Over the course of 5 months, I worked closely with their team to ensure that every design decision aligned with their brand and the high caliber of their work. We focused on delivering a clean, minimalist design that would let the visuals speak for themselves.

Art With A Heart

I’ve had the privilege of working in a variety of roles at Art With A Heart for over 4 years, helping the organization grow and evolve its online presence. One of my most impactful contributions was leading the overhaul of their website. The goal was to transform the site into a true reflection of their mission: “Building Community Through Art.”

During the website redesign process, I worked closely with the team to ensure that the new platform aligned with the organization’s vision of inclusivity, creativity, and connection. We wanted the website to not only be visually appealing but also functional and user-friendly, so individuals of all backgrounds could easily explore and access the wide range of programs and services they offer.

Their Opportunity

I had the privilege of expanding my impact in the Durham Region by assisting Their Opportunity, an incredible organization dedicated to providing youth in underserved communities with access to sports, mentorship, and development opportunities. I worked closely with them on the development of their subsidy application platform, which required a tailored solution to meet the specific needs of both their team and the families they serve.

Their requirements were comprehensive and unique, as they needed a system that allowed for seamless interaction at various stages of the application process. This included features like user registration, application submission, application review, and in-app communication.

I gave Karl some examples of some other architects’ websites that I admired and set him to the task of synthesizing a new design for us based on the examples provided as well as taking all the content from our extant website and integrating it into the new design.
